David and I arrived in Sana’a at four in the morning on Saturday, and had a very busy first day. We took our placement exams, and took a tour of both the YCMES campus and the Old City. More to come on Sana’a (including pictures) after we start class tomorrow.
Before we got to Sana’a, we both stopped in a number of cities. David left from Vancouver, and I made a stop in Iceland before we both met up for a night in Amsterdam. We mostly wandered around the city, but we did get to watch a Netherlands v. Cameroon world cup game and visit a couple museums. Here are a couple of the better pictures from that stop:
